Bringing honor to the Philippines and inspiration to the youth at a very young age.

At 19, Yuka Saso came out victorious after a three-hole playoff against Nasa Hataoka when they tied for the lead in the final round. Sinking a birdie putt on the third playoff sealed her win and became the first U.S. Women’s Open Champion from the Philippines, the country she represented in the tournament.

At the press conference, Saso said, “Everyone here is a great player. If it’s their time, it’s their time, if it’s my time, it’s my time”…Truly Filipino inside, just like what most of us say, “Weather weather lang yan, erap!”. Smiling to the crowd, she also said. “I'm just thankful that there are so many people in the Philippines cheering for me. I don't know how to thank them. They gave me so much energy. I want to say thank you to everyone”.
