Philippine Tourism Night - BBMG (Bisita, Be My Guest) Special

 

In a vibrant celebration of culture and tourism, the Department of Tourism, in collaboration with the Philippine Embassy in Tokyo, hosted the much-anticipated Philippine Tourism Night - BBMG (Bisita, Be My Guest) Special on February 12, 2024, at the prestigious Imperial Hotel Tokyo. The event was graced by Her Excellency Philippine Ambassador Mylene J. Garcia-Albano, Tourism Attaché Niel P. Ballesteros, and other esteemed dignitaries from the Philippine Embassy Tokyo, Japan. The event showcased the Filipino hospitality and the allure of the Philippines as a prime tourist destination.

At the heart of the event was the innovative Bisita, Be My Guest campaign, a pioneering initiative designed to incentivize Filipinos, particularly Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and Overseas Filipinos, to invite foreigners to experience the beauty and warmth of the Philippines. Participants in this campaign will be rewarded with raffle tickets, offering them a chance to win exclusive prizes. Moreover, registered participants are privileged to avail themselves of discounts, special rates, and packages throughout the campaign period (January 2023 – April 2024) using the BBMG Travel Passport and BBMG Privilege card.

The event drew a diverse crowd of approximately 500 guests, including both Filipinos and Japanese enthusiasts of Philippine culture and tourism. The atmosphere was electric as attendees immersed themselves in a program filled with captivating performances and engaging activities. The highlight of the evening was the special performances by Beverly and INRAYOG -PHILIPPINES, which enthralled the audience with their mesmerizing talents, showcasing the vibrant music and dance traditions of the Philippines.

Maria Theresa Gow, serving as the emcee for the evening, kept the energy high as attendees participated in a quiz game. This portion of the event added excitement that engaged attendees of all ages, testing their knowledge about the Philippines. Prizes generously sponsored by the Department of Tourism awaited those who demonstrated the highest number of correct answers and quick thinking. The interactive nature of the quiz game fostered an atmosphere of camaraderie and fun among participants, further enhancing the sense of community at the event.
