Tokyo Disney Resort, the operator of both Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea has cancelled Disney Halloween 2020.

Because of Covid-19, No Halloween Celebration in Disneyland and Disneysea

Tokyo Disney Resort, the operator of both Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea has cancelled Disney Halloween 2020. This special event was scheduled to last for 52 days from September 11th to November 1st and was supposed to feature special parades, shows and special foods in restaurants as wells as cafes inside the theme parks. Also, there are no event goods this year, but Halloween-themed merchandise is on sale. According to the management, sales period are not set, so Halloween goodies may still be available even after November 1st.

Disney Halloween is the most popular event Tokyo Disneyland has offered to its visitors during autumn season in conjunction with Halloween for 23 years which has spread beyond its walls, just think of the scramble crossing in Shibuya.

But this year, due to prevention of further spread of coronavirus, the Halloween event was cancelled and visitors aged 12 and over wearing full costumes won’t be admitted to the theme parks.
