The Rampa Manila Event

Initiated by Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan, in collaboration with the Department of Tourism, Culture and Arts of Manila (DTCAM) Director Charlie Dungo and Creative Director Bang Pineda, "Rampa Manila" aims to breathe new life into Manila's fashion scene. Following the success of its debut in 2023, the event is set for its second installment on June 19, 2024, at the Bulwagang Antonio Villegas at the Manila City Hall.

Celebrating Filipino Fashion

Under the theme "Texture, Textile, and Technique," "Rampa Manila 2" will showcase the creative prowess of both seasoned designers and emerging talents. Championing Local Artistry

At a press conference held at Manila City Hall, designer Bang Pineda emphasized the significance of Divisoria in Manila's fashion narrative, acknowledging its historical role as a hub for textiles and materials. However, he lamented the decline in its appeal in recent years, with designers turning to alternative sources or importing materials from abroad. Mayor Honey echoed these sentiments, expressing a desire to reignite interest in Divisoria among designers and aspiring fashion creatives.
